Barking Bad Bakery and Boutique travels to markets, festivals and events all across the great state of Texas to bring our handcrafted organic dog treats, bandanas and bow ties to all animal lovers. We are currently exploring other markets in the U.S. stretching from the west to the east coast. Our entire operation is run by the two of us (Mishka and Aaron) and we manage to make it out to 100+ shows a year! Check out below to see if we will be serving your area with all of our handmade products.
San Antonio, TX: Our roots have been planted here in San Antonio and is Aaron's hometown along with Mishka's start in the U.S. as a foreign exchange student. The idea for our handmade dog treats came to us in 2016 in the kitchen of our home. We felt that we needed to step up the game in the dog treat industry and bring organic dog biscuits to the forefront of our market. This was our chance to separate ourselves from the big box companies and our other competitors. San Antonio is where home base is but our reach goes beyond the Alamo City.
Boerne, TX: Boerne, TX is a German town northwest of San Antonio and is Aaron's high school alma mater (Go Greyhounds!). Our first market we participated in was the Cibolo Farmer's market off of Old Herff Rd. We quickly expanded our pet supply offerings to the Boerne Market Days that are held every second weekend of the month in the town square downtown at...100 N Main St, Boerne, TX 78006.
Helotes, TX: Home to the Old Town Helotes Market days, Floore's Country store and the Cornyval. This quickly growing town is situated in between San Antonio and Bandera, TX and gives you a glimpse of the Texas Hill Country while still close to the city limits. You can find us the first weekend of every month in Old Town Helotes at...Old Bandera Rd Helotes, TX 78023.
New Braunfels, TX: New Braunfels, TX is nestled in between San Antonio and Austin down the I-35 corridor. What once was a small German town, now boasts a population of nearly 75,000 people and counting. It is in the heart of the Texas Hill Country and home to the world famous water park Schlitterbahn. Every Saturday from 9am to 1pm, Krause's Biergarten & Cafe hosts the New Braunfels Farm to Market, one of the top Farmer's Markets in Texas. Here you will find the freshest fruits and veggies along with other wonderful vendors that offer everything from oils and lotions (Gruene Witch Apothecary is our favorite!) to face painting for the kiddos. Come see us every Saturday from 9am to 1pm to get Fido's fix and see our new bandana and bow tie designs at...186 S Castell Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130
San Marcos, TX: A college town located between New Braunfels and Austin, TX is home to the Texas St Bobcats (formerly Southwest Texas) and one of the most aesthetically pleasing campuses in the Lone Star state. The San Marcos river splits this college town and is always ice cold for the hot summer days. We have participated in Pet Fest hosted by P.A.L.S. (Pet Prevent A Litter of Central Texas) which is located at 401 E. Hopkins Street San Marcos, TX 78666. We are excited to also announce that we will be set up at the much anticipated Float Fest this year on July 21st -22nd! You can catch all of the festivities at601 Dupuy Ranch Rd. Martindale, TX 78655
Austin, TX: Austin, TX encapsulates the epitome of a melting pot of cultures and people. The live music capital of the world and home to the University of Texas Longhorns, you will find everything from the greatest doughnut shops (you have to check out Voodoo Doughnuts) to the biggest video game developer studios. We love serving the Austin market and you can always find us at the biannual Pecan Street Festival (one date in spring and one in fall) located at...501 Old Pecan St, Austin, TX 78701
We also frequent our friends at the Barton Creek Farmer's Market located at the Barton Creek Mall parking lot at...2901 S Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78746
Dallas, TX: The Dallas Market Center was how we opened ourselves to the city of Dallas, TX. This wholesale kingdom boasts 15+ floors of thousands of companies big and small trying to get their foot in door of building their empire. This was definitely the best learning experience to date for us. It pushed us to create better packaging to really showcase our products and show how awesome they are! Hopefully our next stop in Dallas will be the State of Texas...fingers crossed! The Dallas Market Center can be found at...2100 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207
Houston, TX (area):
Katy, TX: The Leonard E. Merrell Center houses a few markets that we have had the pleasure of selling at. Our first we tried out was the Home for the Holidays Gift Market. This show occurs twice a year, once in the spring and a big one during the Christmas holidays. We also showcased at the Katy Home and Garden Show in 2017. You can find events like these at the Merrell Center located at...6301 S Stadium Ln, Katy, TX 77494
Tomball, TX: A smaller German town located outside of Houston, Tomball, TX hosts the biannual Tomball German Festival. The first show of the year is in March during our amazing spring weather. The final show of the year in December is like walking through German Christmas Market straight out of Deutschland! It's a Christmas wonderland with hundreds of vendors, delicious food and hot wine! You can find this festival location at the Old Train Depot...201 South Elm, Tomball, TX 77375
